Go to a coffee shop or resturant, buy something, have a seat, and people watch.You can only watch them, don’t talk to them (and don’t creep them out). 

Put yourself in their shoes. Really understand, to the greatest extent you can, what it is to be like them; what they are going through, why they do what they do.

Write about it in your journal.
